Hi! My name is Tierra. I’m a full-time photographer based on Maui, Hawai‘i.
Photography has always been my passion and creative outlet. I love capturing authentic moments, genuine connection, and creating images that feel natural, emotional, and timeless. My style is inspired by the beauty of Maui, with dreamy, warm tones that reflect the magic of the island. Whether I’m photographing couples, families, brands, or weddings, my goal is always to create images that feel effortless and full of emotion.
Maui plays such a special role in my work. I love being able to capture meaningful moments while also highlighting the beauty and atmosphere of Hawai‘i. I often collaborate with Hawai‘i-based brands, local models, and small businesses throughout Maui.

Capturing connection through dreamy imagery
My photography journey started back in high school when I first picked up a camera for landscape photography. I loved capturing sunsets, the ocean, nature, and all the scenery around me. Everything changed once I started taking senior photos for friends. What started as something creative and fun quickly turned into a real passion for capturing people, emotion, and connection.
Over the years, that passion grew into my full-time career. I spent years working as a photographer at resorts across Maui, photographing weddings, couples, families, events, and visitors from all over the world. Through those experiences, I gained so much hands-on experience, built connections, and discovered my own style and approach to photography.
As my experience and passion continued to grow, I created my own photography business; Tierra's Photography Maui LLC, which is now my main focus and passion. Alongside photography, I earned my bachelor’s degree from UH Manoa in Human Relations, Organizations, and Communications.
I work closely with my clients to create a comfortable, safe, and artistic environment where they can truly be themselves. My goal is to provide photos that make people feel beautiful while capturing who they are in a genuine and timeless way.
